Collabration with a big German multinational specialist in the production of all kind of machines
These projects were a collaboration with a large German multinational company. They are specialists in the production of all kinds of machines, mainly used for intralogistics solutions, such as baggage handling.
A few details about
THE PROJECTS
These projects were realized in collaboration with the Benelux division of the German company. This division specializes in customized internal logistics solutions, which cannot be realized with standard products of the German parent company.
The realized projects include:
- Special single product on pallet transport
- Sorting system for small bags
- To arrange maintenance and support for these projects, an SLA was drawn up
Some special
SPECIFICATIONS
- The realized software only consists of back-ends. The HMI of the PLC is used as an interface for the operators.
- The back-end communicates with an ERP system (e.g. Oracle or MS Dynamics). In this way, the back-end retrieves the order information and can tell the PLC in which direction the product should be send, e.g., for label printing or sorting.
- At the end of the conveyor, the product is sorted into a box or into a trailer (depending on the size of the product).
How we solved it
OUR APPROACH
We have standardized communication with the PLCs that control the conveyors (pallet, box or bag). The information about the product on the system, is therefore handles through standard protocols and processes. In this way, a product can be easily transported from the production machine to the final destination.
